This is the largest Division and comprises of generalist plumbers who are qualified in most areas of plumbing work.

Areas of expertise include: water supply, water heating, thermostatic mixing valves, sanitary and drainage, filtration, leak detection, septic tanks and cooling tower servicing.

Service Industry Division members may be registered/licenced as a Gasfitter or Draining contractor in the domestic and commercial sector.

A number of technical committees have been set up to look at and resolve issues effecting Service Industry members.

These include:

• Working with Water authorities to develop better communication and better working relationships
• Lobying regulatory authorities and governments to ensure that plumbing standards are maintained
• Having input into Regulatory Impact Statements and New updated Plumbing Regulations.
• Updating contract books, Charge out rate calculator and Certificates of Compliance.
