Section 88 of the Asbestos Removal in the workplace compliance Code release by WorkSafe in September 2008 states "Refresher training needs to be conducted every year for class-A removalists and every two years for class-B removalists. However it may be needed more often if work methods change the type of equipment used changes or the type of work changes".

The MPMSAA coordinates training for Class A and Class B Asbestos Removalists through the Holmesglen College of TAFE.
